Well, it’s that time of year. The Rocky Mountain Review is just around the corner, and the Jazz have released their 17-man squad for the games.
The “known” names are the young Jazz-sters (Morris Almond, Kyrylo Fesenko and Kosta Koufos), 2 NBDL players from the Flash that the team will keep if they return to the NBDL (Kevin Kruger & Brian Jackson), ex-Ute Britton Johnson, former Jazz RMR-ers (Kevin Lyde & Hiram Fuller) and ex-Clipper Yaroslav Korolev (played in Russia last year).
I don’t recognize the other guys on the team.
The one notable absence… CJ Miles. Unfortunately, he seems to have picked potential contract over actually playing. I guess this could be the end for CJ in a Jazz uniform, because J-Slow really isn’t going to like this. Of course, he has to find a team willing to give him a contract first (Siler says he might’ve met with the Clay Bennett Backstabbers.
Names to keep an eye on: Easy… the Jazz youngsters, and the Flash-sters if you follow them a bit. No one else. The Jazz already have 14 players under contract (CJ would be 15). KOC likes having a roster spot open, just in case. So the chances of anyone on the squad that isn’t already on the team making the team is near 0, saving a trade or a buy-out (or 2 or 3).
CJ doesn’t want to be here, let him go. I like him, I think he could be a real player on this team, but he is not committed. Adios.
Yep.
Sad, but whatever. He wants to go, he can go.
But with this type of attitude or whatever, he’s not going to amount to much in the league.
The sooner he learns that the better.
