The Jazz will host 2 players this morning in what will be the last workout they hold before the draft.

Kevin O’Connor and the Draft

A lot has been made of Kevin O’Connor’s… um… “drafting skills,” especially with the fact that most of his first round picks are no longer with the Jazz. So, with the draft rapidly approaching, I decided to take a quick look at the drafting since O’Connor took over (I guess it might say something about the scouts as well). Not really a number crunching exercise… more just a “Who? When? Where? Why?” approach (yep… no “What”). Just FYI… if you’re looking for trends, 6 of the 8 drafts headed by KOC have featured a 2-guard being taken by the Jazz… and of those 6, only CJ wasn’t a 1st-round SG (he went #4 in the 2nd-round).

Second Workout With Hibbert Tomorrow

It’s been almost a week since their last workouts, but the Jazz are finally getting more players in. They hosted a couple of players today (2nd-rounders at best), and host a couple more tomorrow (1st-rounders included).

Ray Allen!!! Oh, and the Lakers… that was absolutely pitiful. At best. Kevin Garnett! Paul Pierce! Oh, and Bryant? He missed 15 shots (6 long-bombs) and had a grand total of 1 assist. What great teamwork. Ray Allen had 7 long-bombs in the game (and a NBA Finals record 22 in the 6 games). 131-92. Wow.

Jazz & Pistons… Trade Partners?

Earlier this off-season, I mentioned that Richard Hamilton was on the block (along with most of the Pistons team). I didn’t think the Jazz could match offers that other teams could make. But Chad Ford has a 6 potential trades for the Pistons… and the Jazz are included in it.

Another Surgery.

We’ve already seen successful surgeries for Paul Millsap & Kyle Korver. So, with the off-season in full swing, why not add another name to that list?

Speights & Anderson Among 6 To Workout Sunday

After the first workout period… one that featured many guys considered to be 2nd-rounders at best, tomorrow’s workout seems to have more 1st round potential. Oh, and me happy.
